Good artist copy. Great artists steal.
I’m not the artist. As it’s clear from the photo that I have very limited drawing skills, but I try. The artist here is this man in the drawing, let’s call him John.
I was in Harvard Square yesterday enjoying a sunny day after a week of rain, when I came across John who sat there singing some really good songs. He got my attention when he sang a few Beatles numbers – All You Need Is Love and Hey Jude.
John had curly hair, dark brownish perfectly round sunglasses (kind of like Lennon use to wear) and he was good at what he did.
I also went to the Harvard book store and read ‘Steal Like an Artist‘ by Austin Kleon. It’s a really small 140 page book that shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes to read. I thought it was a breeze to read and very inspiring. You may want to steal the idea of going to the book store and reading this book.
Pablo Picasso once said,” Good artist copy. Great artists steal.”
Coming back to John. Lennon glasses. Beatles song. He had the look.
